Day 1 – Welcome

To be honest, I’ve never blogged before, but I’ve been inspired to give it a shot, especially since this project will be 10 years long. Multiple parts of this site will be updated daily, so for those of you with feed notifications, I apologize in advanced.

Feel free to check out the ‘About’ page for more details, but basically, I’ve played piano for 32 years and am finally at a point in my life where I have less distractions and would like to focus my studies on classical piano.

There will be a lot of self-study components until I’m able to find a teacher. That will start after the New Year. Until then, YouTube, Udemy, and other sources will be my friend. I’ll also post videos of where I am now with particular pieces or sections, and then post my progress. Just some neat journal that might inspire folks, especially those who may know how to play, but feel they don’t have time. I’ve been able to commit to 1 hour of study per day, minimum.

Anyhow, lots of ideas and this page will probably keep changing a bit as I had to quickly throw it together to be able to start today.

And with that, I’ll leave you with Brahms Intermezzo A Major Op 118 No 2 performed by Radu Lupu.

Until tomorrow.
