Day 48 – Windstorm Melodies

Last night through this morning, the area had a good windstorm with 25-30mph winds with around 50mph gusts. I forgot that the wind finds its way through whatever bad seals around the windows and doors and generates different pitches throughout the day.

I enjoyed it all day, and it was occasionally accompanied by the heating unit clicking on and doing whatever rhythmic thing it does.

What had stumped me, was trying to how to describe the sound. I finally figured out, it sounded like a very poor man’s pan flute (eat your 80’s heart out, Zamfir) mixed with the tones of ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’ synthesizer.

Great. Now I’m craving mashed potatoes.
