I’ve really nothing to report. It was just a standard day. Wake up, work, piano, work, visit with a friend, blog, all while trying to avoid burnout. It would be great if every day was amazing, but wouldn’t that get boring after awhile? I gave myself a free day of piano to just unwind, and what did I choose to play? Chopin Nocturnes of course. 🙂
There’s just something comforting and easy-feeling about them. They are slow enough to allow me to think more when I play them, in terms of pulling out specific notes, or ensuring proper fingering, while keeping them ‘at speed’. I did my best to listen and feel, and despite no exciting things happening, I was consistent and pleased. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day of focus in all aspects of life.
